Karnataka will face Tamil Nadu in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament final on Saturday after both teams won their semifinal matches at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Karnataka defeated Vidarbha by 4 runs in the second semifinal, while Tamil Nadu defeated Hyderabad in a low-scoring game, and the two teams will now meet in the final in November 22 at the same site.
Manish Pandey led Karnataka to a total of 176 for 7 with 54 runs, while fellow opener Rohan Kadam top-scored with 87 runs off 56 balls.
In reply, Vidarbha was bowled out for 172 runs, with openers Atharva Talde and Ganesh Satish hitting 32 and 31 runs respectively.
P Saravana Kumar's five-wicket haul in 3.3 overs helped Tamil Nadu bowl out Hyderabad for 90 in 18.3 overs. For the winners, Murugan Ashwin (2 for 13), M Mohammed (2 for 12), and Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore each took a wicket.
They quickly chased down the low score in 14.2 overs, with captain Vijay Shankar (43 not out) and Sai Sudharsan (34 not out) leading the way.
