Shahrukh Khan (33*runs off 15 balls) helped Tamil Nadu comeback win over Karnataka by four wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021-22 final in Delhi on Monday 22nd November 2021.
Tamil Nadu lost their way and fell to 97 runs for 4 wickets after 16 overs when they were chasing 152. Darshan MB bowled the 17th over, as the chasing side scored 19 runs off it.
Sanjay Yadav opened the over with a four, then Shahrukh hit a six over long-on. He hit the next ball between extra cover and long-off for a boundary. It came down to 36 runs off 18 balls with a couple of wides.
R Sai Kishore, who had earlier taken three wickets with the ball, edged Prateek Jain for a four to start the last over. After a couple of wides and some good running between the wickets, it was five runs off the last ball. Shahrukh hit the last ball of the final for six over deep square leg to win the match for Tamil Nadu.
